I don't really sure if the lyrics fit my condition nor match my feeling. Somehow the melody is kind of making my eyes watered. For ages I haven't been so much into a person even though it ended with another Good Person Card (and/or another "sister"). Just a post for myself to mark the mood. For there are words I couldn't speak out. If any of you spend time reading these wordy complains & get my point, please, remain silent.

我喜歡 Seal 的歌，對熟識我的人來說不是新聞。
差不多是從專科時代的 Kiss From A Rose 就開始了吧。
礙於經濟的限制，沒把他過去的專輯都收錄起來，目前只買了兩張。
這首歌，不在那其二，卻是在一個很巧妙的際遇下找到的…

在英國時，發現 Seal 出了一張類似精選的專輯，
收錄了1991 - 2004之間的27首精選曲。
那時在網路上百般搜尋就是找不到，最後只好去大陸的網站翻…
(呃… 要買正版才是乖孩子唷 ^_^!)



我很敬佩對岸的搜刮功力，但也不得不說一下… 正確性實在是有待加強。
有在用一些 P2P 軟體的人，想像一下「明明要抓神鬼奇航結果變成神鬼淫航」這情境就能明瞭。
還好，我沒有抓到檔名和內容差太多的歌，但也只找到了那張專輯的一半左右而已。
其中，就有一首歌叫 State of Grace。

忘了多久以後… 由於當初只抓得到 wma，想要再找看看有沒有 mp3 的格式，
所以又再次上網搜尋，然後才赫然發現，這首歌根本就不在那張精選集裡面嘛！
於是把它獨立出專輯目錄之外，變成一首單曲… 並且重聽了一次。
越聽就越喜歡，數度 repeat 一整晚聽不膩，不用說當然也把它學起來囉～

這首歌

Seal 這個人的歌，一向都很有宗教氣息，但他不會用很直接的詞句去讚美主。
聽他的歌，不會因此而信教，就只是很舒服的 Soul、R&B，卻又能感受到宗教帶來的平靜。

歌詞裡面有一句 No savoir faire
查了字典，savoir faire 的意思是「彬彬有禮」，原來的字應該是 savoir-vivre，從法文來的。
在這首歌裡面到底是什麼意思，怎麼被使用的，我也說不出來；
但它給我的感覺是：be myself，表現出真實的自己，不需要偽裝！

歌名 State of Grace，我也是找了一陣子，還是沒辦法用中文翻出來。
可以肯定的是，這是宗教會用到的字眼，從 grace 這個字有「神恩」的意思可見一斑。
對我來說，與其說歌詞裡的 you = God，我倒覺得更像是一個知己、朋友。
和知己朋友在一起，不用戴上面具；他們消除我的恐懼與孤單，也給我成長與改變的力量！

插曲

早上也不知道為什麼，突然又想起這首歌，而且想把它放到 blog 上…
於是乎又開始瘋狂地 Google 起來… 為了爬出上面的 online play 和歌詞，
我同一組關鍵字足足爬了10頁，幾乎每一個項目都點出來看！
10頁耶！ Google耶！ 正常人用 Google 找資料應該會在3頁以內結束/放棄吧 !?
